Our First Meeting

Just wanted to take a minute to thank those that attended our first meeting of the school year. The emergency kits were put together and placed in the classrooms. These kits have come in handy for our school staff. Last year the lights went out for a while so some of the teachers remembered about the flashlights in the kits and were able to use them.

Sorry I was not able to attend the meeting, but a special thanks to all those that stepped up and took over. Word is that the meeting was great so maybe you really don't need me as much as you think.

Our next meeting will be September 10th. Hope to see everyone there.

Coin Drive

Don't forget we have our coin drive until Wednesday, May 13th. The grade that has the highest level of coins will win an ice cream party. We have not decided how to use the funds so please come to our May meeting as this will be one of the things we talk about.

Teacher Appreciation Week

I want to take a minute to Thank everyone who helped out with Teacher Appreciation Week. Our greatest thanks to our Committee Chair Sadie for all her hard work in pulling everything and everyone together.

Label Collections Result

Thanks everyone for sending in labels during the month of February. We had a tie so both the girls and boys will get an extra 10 minute recess one day next week. A few of us started to sort through the labels today only to discover what a big job this will be. If you are available on Tuesdays or Thursday from 9 to 11 please join the Teacher Workroom group and help sort. We will also be sorting through them at our VIPS meeting this month so please come and help out. In addtion, if you find you have free time at other times during the week please email Miriam or Fran to see what you can do to help out.
